In support of Calvin College’s sustainability goals and athletic facility enhancements, AMR led a geothermal HVAC upgrade for the Football Locker Room and Soccer Stadium. The high-performance project featured the installation of Trane water source heat pumps, mini-split systems, two energy recovery units (ERUs), buffer tanks, and a closed-loop glycol makeup system with expansion tank pumps. Air and dirt separators were also integrated to support the geothermal system’s long-term efficiency and reliability. Despite a tight project window from March to August 2024 and significant equipment lead times, AMR delivered a cutting-edge solution that balanced energy efficiency with athletic performance needs—ensuring year-round climate control tailored to the facility’s demands
